FRASER VALLEY REGIONAL DISTRICT – DEROCHE
Connecting
communities.
SUMMARY
The City of Deroche is a small farming and railway community located just east of Vancouver, B.C. Deroche is overseen by the Fraser Valley Regional District who looked to partner with 10net for outdoor digital signage expertise.
The Fraser Valley Regional District needed a state-of-the-art turnkey outdoor digital signage board that could be remotely accessed and protected from vandalism. The new outdoor display was to replace the existing illuminated signboard at its satellite office in Deroche, B.C.
10net eagerly took on the supply and the installation project, which consisted of a two-sided “V” shaped sign, allowing high visibility from either direction of the highway.
As this was a very complicated installation, it required precise attention to the existing base, which was to be used to install the new sign. The installation required removing the old mounting infrastructure, designing, and then manufacturing a new infrastructure. To deter the risk of vandalism, a substantial piece of protective plexiglass on each side of the sign was installed by 10net.
If ever driving along Lougheed Highway, keep an eye out for the custom made outdoor digital signage specially created by 10net. Which is now used by the community as a successful communication tool.
